The Townships Round Barn Route

ROAD TRIP SUGGESTION

The round barn in Brome Lake is the last one built in Quebec, if not in North America. And its owner, David Bisaillon, certainly didn’t help reverse the trend.

As soon as the barn was erected, “it was a disappointment to the Bisaillon family, who disliked the construction costs and the poor division of the interior,” say evaluation reports from the Quebec government, which listed it on the Heritage Inventory in 2015. Despite this, it will survive the passage of time quite well.

It remained in operation until 2002 and today it is a beautiful example of the talent of the workers of the time. 35 Scott Road, Brome Lake
