Lake Magog

The humà design firm did a great job with the Mikelberg Residence located on the shores of Lake Magog in the Eastern Townships. The house is divided into two slightly staggered volumes; the wooden pavilion is the private space spread over two floors while the horizontal pavilion with its stone cladding offers the common space (kitchen as well as the two living rooms). The two volumes are connected by an open hall that provides a visual breakthrough to the lake. Discreet on the façade, this residence opens completely towards the courtyard to let the light penetrate through the numerous and immense windows. The texture of the wood in the interior, the cutting of the shapes and the warmth that emanates from it make this residence a corner of paradise.
